Big-hearted members of the bookings team at Shepton Mallet Treatment Centre have transformed dozens of glass bottles into lamps to sell in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
After selling the bottle lamps within the hospital and at a Christmas craft fair at The Cross in Croscombe, they have raised an amazing £1200 for the charity.
The team decided to take this initiative to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, because so many of them had been touched by cancer in their lives over the last year or so. They are immensely grateful to everyone who supported them at work, family and friends.
Andrew Oakerbee, Hospital Director at Shepton Mallet Treatment Centre, commented: “Our bookings team is made up of a superb group of individuals, and we are very proud of their creative efforts and success in raising so much money for such a worthwhile cause.”
